For me, I primarily deal with stress in 3 ways.
1. Breathing exercises. I use this mostly when I begin to feel overwhelmed.
2. Positive thinking. I tell myself good things and remind myself of my capabilities and accomplishments. I even have a document on my computer collecting many of the compliments I have received over the years.
3. Words of affirmation. I tell myself positive things. They are true, but I remind myself as often as I can. But I try to stay humble too. Ha ha.
