Compare the importance of time management to that of your life.

The importance of time management is obvious for anyone who wishes to be able to enjoy life. Even if you're one of the lucky ones who love your work. There may be people in your surroundings that would like to see more of you and oops there's a conflict.
When it all comes down to what is important in life, in your life, it is not going to be how many cars you sold or how many forms you filled out. It'll not be about how much money you have made either. It's all about love. To give love and to recieve love. To be a good fellow human being, to aid and support whenever the opportunity comes. To pay it forward. Again and again and again. With good organizing you can easily add 3-5 kind deeds a day. As a bonus you will feel greater yourself.
"Do you value life? Then waste no time, for that is the stuff of which life is made."          Benjamin Franklin

When you use time management you form an opinion of the value of things and tasks in your life. You grade them in matters of importance and urgency. This becomes a way of thinking and so you will soon be a quick judge of what has to be on top of your to-do-list and what hasn't.

You will learn to select according to your pleasure or sense of compassion and rearrange should you find it necessary. The importance of time management will certainly grow deeper in you as you'll discover how much control you have over your day. The possibility of saying no to new tasks with greater confidence will please you. And don't be surprised if you develope a talent for finding people to delegate jobs to.

Without the time management tools the risk is greater for feelings of stress, unhappiness or even depression. A life that lacks systemization and structure works at random. If that is your life you probably struggle from time to time to keep everything together.

No matter whether you are an expert on holding things together or not it craves a heap of energy to do so. If you start using time management effectively all that energy is freed and can be put to use elsewhere. Perhaps to do artistic work which could include most of life's joyful chores or to care for or spend time with family, friends and loved ones. The one thing we cannot overdo.
